The successful conclusion of the African Conference in Nairobi reinforced a clear message: human rights must be central to the transition toward renewable energy and sustainable development.

A just transition cannot be built on exploited lands, violated rights, or the sacrificed futures of frontline, local, and Indigenous communities. Governments, companies, and civil society must work together to ensure that climate action does not create new sacrifice zones.

The conference strengthened collective commitment to a future grounded in justice, accountability, and meaningful community participation.
