CSCNR Program Areas
Capacity building of the civil society actors.

This pillar will focus on strengthening the internal capacity of the civil society actors to be more effective and knowledgeable in their advocacy and community-level activities.

Access to public information in regard to natural resources contracts, income, budgets and expenditures.

The second pillar intends to lobby and engage government entities to ensure transparent management of natural resources. It aims to encourage government to implement the necessary provisions in the existing legal frameworks that guarantees the public unhindered access to information on contracts or transactions related to natural resources investments. It further seeks to strengthen inclusivity and participation of civil society actors and communities in decision-making processes. This pillar enhances the civil society role, participation and involvement in key policy decision making processes through sustained engagement with public and private sectors actors.

Increasing grant portfolio or funding opportunities for the civil society actors to support advocacy efforts and conduct awareness on natural resources management and investments in communities.

The pillar focuses on raising the required resources to enable the successful implementation of this strategic plan as well as individual civil society activities at all levels.
