Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Malish is a South Sudanese scholar with 10-years professional work experience in project management including; report writing; project evaluation, research and documentation; proposal writing and monitoring and evaluation systems development, policy analysis, organizational capacity development and grants management. Malish’s experience in project management, particularly capacity development and M&E experience cut-cross different sectors like health, education, governance, livelihoods, civil society, WASH, community development and agriculture. Malish possess strong communication skills, informative and quantitative data analysis, projects log frame and PMP development and reviews. Good supervisory skills and ability to work within multi-cultural team. He has worked with various international organisations including Mercy Corps, Winrock International, ARC International, Education Development Centre, Crown Agents UK, Global Communities USA and Ecorys Netherlands in large donor funded projects such as the USAID LINCS, SSTEP and BRIDGE Programs, the multi-donor funded Health Pooled Fund and Civil Society Fund Programs. Malish has great understanding of various donor reporting and grant guidelines including USAID, DFID, SIDA, EU, DFATD, EC and AusAID among others. Malish holds Diploma in Social Works and Social Administration, Bachelors of Business Administration (Specialising in Managament) and Master of Public Policy from University of Nottingham, UK.

Co-Founder

Mr. Alimure is a prominent nonprofit organization practitioner with close to ten years’ experience implementing governance projects in South Sudan. Alimure is skilled in identifying and advocating for persistent community issues for immediate government intervention. He has a long history of liaising and building relationships with government institutions, international organizations, and other appropriate stakeholders to detect program synergies and increase impact of good governance in South Sudan. He worked as an Assistant Program Manager for the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), a position that he assumed after holding several others in the organization that included but not limited to Senior Program Officer, Civic Engagement Officer and a Field Coordinator. Alimure built the capacities of government officials, civil society organizations, and other appropriate stakeholders through workshops and trainings. In 2007, he participated in observing the Kenyan General Elections that ended in violence though. While with NDI, he trained, deployed and supervised Domestic Election Observers in Southern Sudan during the Sudan 2010 general elections. Prior to joining NDI, Alimure served for two years as a Team leader for Community Liaison and survey for one Mines Advisory Group(MAG) a South Sudanese renown British based land mines clearing organization.

Alimure holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma in Democracy and Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University and Hurford youth fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy. Alimure focused on subsidizing ideas to the planning and preparation of the World Movement for Democracy’s 2015 Assembly that was held in Seoul, South Korea as well as worked with the NED Africa Program in contributing intellectual analysis of the NED South Sudan portfolio, researched support on thematic and regional issues of interest for the Africa Program. As a result of the fellowship, he founded a national organization (FODAG) which has picked on very fast and now implementing several governance projects across South Sudan. Currently, Alimure works as the Manager for Lobby and Advocacy at Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO) a renowned civil society organization in South Sudan.

Co-Founder

Mr. Jonas is a South Sudanese scholar with over 17 years’ work experience in diverse fields and with various organizations of national and international entities, including; the Norwegian People’s Aid as the Operations Room Manager and made a significant contribution in the establishment of the Humanitarian Demining component in South Sudan. This led to him being awarded a certificate of commendation in 2004 for his outstanding performance in supporting NPA Humanitarian Demining set up. Further, Jonas worked for GTZ (now GIZ) in partnership with UNHCR in the position of Associate Reintegration Officer and established one of the biggest Return and Reintegration programs in South Sudan in 2005 following the signing of the CPA, with a number of community projects implemented ranging from; skills training, community services and income generating activities as well as building of community infrastructure such as feeder roads, County Head Quarters (Morobo in particular) and community bridges among others. He worked for Oxfam Novib as Program Officer for South Sudan and championed the implementation of a three year EU funded Civic Education program that contributed immensely in raising awareness among the civil population leading to the successful conduct of the January 9th 2011 Referendum and subsequent separation of South Sudan from the Sudan. Jonas has also implemented a multimillion dollar projects funded by different UN agencies and international governments which include the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and UNICEF, US Department of State, Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and the Japanese Embassy among others and consulted for a number of individuals and institutions on various thematic areas.

Jonas’s skills, knowledge and interest cut across a number of areas and issues such as poverty and livelihoods, social exclusion, organization development, diverse urbanism and informalities in cities, project development and management, strategic plan development, social policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation of projects, social and development research, counselling and guidance, report writing. Jonas, founded and sits on several boards of civil society organizations such as Mugwo Support Initiative (MSI), Saint Augustine Family Organization (SAFO), Hope for Community Empowerment (HCE), Centre for Conflict Transformation, Empowerment and Rehabilitation (CECTER), and Charity Trust Foundation (CTF).

Jonas has international work experiences especially in programming, networking and donor relations from the United States of America, Switzerland, Mauritius, Ghana, United Kingdom, Lebanon, Sir Lanka, Philippines, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, United Arab Emirates and France among others. Currently Jonas Heads SIMAS (South Sudan Integrated National Mine Action) – a national non-governmental and not-for-profit organization as the Director where is worked for about six years and brings a rich adage to ISPR as one of the founding members. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Development from one of the University of Manchester with Development Management as his pathway and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social and Philosophical Studies from Makerere University in Kampala - Uganda.

Director, Local Government Capacity Development

Ohisa James holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies from Mount Kenya University-Nairobi and Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from Nkumba University, a dedicated social scientist with strong conceptual, analytical and evaluative skills. He has worked for over 9 years with numerous International institutions such the United Nations Development Program(UNDP), Winrock International, Oxfam Great Britain and has managed several European Union, DFID and World Bank funded projects. Has Strong competencies in Local Government institutional capacity strengthening, civil society empowerment, human resource development, project planning and management and proposal development and community engagement.

Co-Founder

Is a development and governance professional with more than 10 years substantive experience in the nonprofit sector on program development, management and implementation ,coordination and partnerships, community mobilization and organizing, proposal and report writing, events planning and organization, small grants administration, organizational development and strengthening, civic and voter education, election monitoring and observation, entrepreneurship, teacher recruitment and training and sustainable development.

Previously, he worked for a number of USAID-funded projects, including Project on Good Governance in the Republic of South Sudan (PROGRESS), Strengthening Economic Governance in South Sudan CORE II both under Deloitte Consulting LLP, Localizing Institutional Capacities in South Sudan (LINCSS) implemented by Mercy Corps International, Civic Engagement Program (CEP) of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI).

He consulted with various institutions among others; Community Empowerment for Progress Organization (CEPO), the World Bank ( Business Start-ups) International Research for Exchange Board (IREX), EmpowerKids South Sudan and Community Initiative for Peace and Development (CIPAD). Lukudu holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Diploma in Democracy and Development Studies from the Uganda Martyrs University and a Certificate on Civil Society Building from the Participatory Research in India (PRIA).

Lukudu is a recipient of joint Atlas Corps-Hurford Youth Fellowship for Emerging Nonprofit Young Global Leaders and the Open Society Foundation Graduate Scholarship. Lukudu is the founding chairman Board of Directors, Trueline Africa Limited Company- driving the corporate governance culture of the company.
